Room for a Larger Life
A larger life asks something of us.
The courage to create. The generosity to welcome another person’s success. The strength to stay faithful to what we love when recognition is slow to arrive.

In astrology, Jupiter speaks to luck, expansion, possibility, and the beliefs that shape our lives. Leo brings creativity, loyalty, pride, and the lion’s instinct to claim its place. Together, they invite a question: what happens when the lion within us has more room to grow?
Jupiter entered Leo on June 29, 2026, and remains here until July 25, 2027. Across this passage, we can explore how to welcome opportunity while developing the strength to meet it.
Learning the lion’s nature
There is a beast within each of us that wants something. Attention. Pleasure. Love. The freedom to act. Its hunger can carry vitality, and it can become difficult to satisfy.
Taming that beast begins with knowing it. What awakens our pride? When does a longing to be seen turn into resentment? Where does loyalty nourish us, and where does it keep us defending something we have outgrown?
We can learn to stay present with those feelings long enough to choose how we respond. That takes strength: patience with our own nature, honesty about our motives, and care for the people affected by our actions.
The lion also knows how to rest. There is wisdom in allowing our energy to gather before asking it to carry more.
Giving creativity room
Jupiter in Leo can serve as an invitation to take our creative lives seriously. A painting, a poem, a garden, or a generous meal can hold something of who we are.
Sharing what we make asks for courage. We may feel proud of it and vulnerable at the same time. We may hope for a response that does not come, or receive encouragement we find difficult to trust.
Strength helps us keep creating through those changes. It lets us enjoy recognition while remaining connected to the work itself.
Luck, too, needs somewhere to land. Returning to a practice, sharing an idea, or entering a conversation gives possibility a place in our everyday lives.
An opening toward possibility
On October 15, the Libra Sun forms a sextile with Jupiter in Leo. Within astrological symbolism, this offers a moment to consider how connection can support growth.
A conversation might help an idea take shape. Encouragement may arrive through someone who recognizes what we are trying to do. Our own generosity can help another person find their courage.
What could you offer freely? What would you like to invite into your life?
Let pride become a sense of dignity in what you bring. Let loyalty become attention to what deserves your care.
The strength to hold what grows
On October 31, Jupiter forms a sesquiquadrate with Saturn in Aries, a minor friction aspect between expansion and structure.
This offers a useful checkpoint. Have we promised more than we can sustain? Has enthusiasm carried us beyond our resources? Does an opportunity need a slower beginning?
A larger life needs support: time, boundaries, practical effort, and room to recover.
There is strength in naming a limit. There is also strength in continuing, with a plan that gives what we love a chance to flourish.
On November 15, Mars meets Jupiter in Leo. Symbolically, action joins expansion: creative drive, appetite, and the courage to pursue something may feel amplified. Give that enthusiasm a thoughtful direction. The strength to hold what grows includes knowing how much energy you can give, and leaving enough room to sustain it.
When growth turns inward
Jupiter turns retrograde on December 12, 2026, and resumes direct motion on April 12, 2027. It remains in Leo throughout, retracing its passage from approximately 27 degrees to 17 degrees of the sign.
Astrologically, this period invites us to revisit what we have been growing.
An ambition may change shape. A creative project may ask for revision. We may recognize how much energy has gone toward being admired, and begin returning some of it to what brings us pleasure and meaning.
What would you remain loyal to without applause? Where has pride made it difficult to learn? What kind of strength are you developing through the life you are making?
Let those questions have time.
“May what grows within us be met with the strength to tend it.”
For now, choose something worthy of your devotion. Give it room, return to it with care, and notice the person you become through tending it.
