What We Give Our Fire To
There are desires we keep, waiting until we feel ready to let them be seen. A painting we want to begin. A love we want to express. A part of ourselves that has grown tired of waiting for permission.
Mars in Leo brings those desires closer to the surface. In astrology, Mars speaks to action, appetite, and how we pursue what matters. Leo brings the heart into the conversation: the pleasure of creating, the vulnerability of being visible, and the courage to offer something distinctly our own.
You might notice where your energy returns. What makes you curious enough to begin? What would you make if you allowed yourself to enjoy the making? There can be something restorative about following an impulse before deciding whether it is useful or impressive.
As Mars opposes Pluto on October 3, the question of visibility may touch something deeper. Being overlooked can stir an old hurt. A disagreement can become a struggle over who gets to lead, speak, or define the moment. Within this symbolism, there is an invitation to pause and notice what we are protecting, and what our response might cost.
We can give a feeling our attention without giving it every decision. Anger may reveal a boundary that needs words. Envy may point toward a desire we have neglected. The wish for recognition may remind us how much care we have put into something.
Then comes the choice of where to place that energy.
Give some of it to the work you keep imagining. To an honest conversation. To movement, play, or an afternoon spent making something with your hands. Let your effort build a life you can recognize as your own.
“What we give our fire to becomes part of the life we make.”
For now, notice what brings warmth back into your days. Begin there, with enough courage to take the first step and enough care to choose the next.
